RSV goes online to help HCPs www.synagis.co.uk Overview Synagis.co.uk provides an innovative tool to aid healthcare professionals when running their seasonal RSV immunisation clinics. The website promotes a good practice approach to the different models of clinic management to encourage consistent levels of service across the NHS. This resource has three key functions: Virtual clinic management tool Educational portal for healthcare professionals Audit tool to ensure efficient resource management

Deliverables include:

• A web-based application that enables HCPs in a hospital setting to manage RSV clinics more effectively. This application was built in consultation with HCPs running these clinics, in particular, paediatric nurses.
• Provide HCP with up to date Health Protection Agency incidence reporting.
• Functionality for HCPs to improve compliance using written communication, email and SMS technologies with parents to set appointments and provide reminders.
• Enable secure data sharing amongst HCPs relating to the transfer of their patients between hospitals and clinics.
• Provide the HCP with an audit and reporting tool logging patients and appointment statistics.
• Provides a business case template to assist units when applying for funding.
• An educational portal with modules on RSV disease is available for continued medical education for CPD points.
